Some stories are a disguise of real life incidents.

“It spun their fate…”
They shared a bond which was stronger than the ones connected with genes or blood. Rahul and Diya were teenagers who lived in St. Mary’s orphanage at Kolkata, ever since they came into the world. Rahul was 16 and Diya two years younger than him. Diya found an elder brother and a true friend in Rahul.
Rahul and Diya believed in creating happiness and they created it in each other’s company. One day an enemy spun their fate. It was a Sunday morning, Rahul and Diya usually went to river Hooghly every Sunday for boating. Unfortunately, it was different this Sunday as Diya was not going to accompany Rahul. The God-made siblings were not in talking terms for almost a week and that was the first time Rahul decided that he would not make the first move. “This time Diya has to decide if she wants her brother or is that thing more important to her”, Rahul said to himself and went boating alone.
Diya realized that her brother was more important than her Ego. It was the first time she let go of it and waited for Rahul to come back so that she could make the first move to apologize this time. She thought she should go to the temple and pray for her brother, the festival Raksha-Bandhan was just two days ahead. She returned from the temple of Goddess Kali with the blessed flowers and prasad.
Silence conquered St. Mary’s orphanage while Rahul’s soul left for another journey. His body was blue and had stitches all over. It was Diya’s enemy “Ego” which stopped her from living her last moment with her brother in happiness. The Hooghly still continues flowing but each day Diya suffers an intolerable pain which will never get washed away. Ego gifted Diya with an everlasting gift named “Pain”.
